Spinach (Baby-to-Teenage Leaf)

Price: $5.00
Price: $5.00

$5.50 · 1/3 lb bag · Cut this week

Real spinach, picked at the baby-to-teenage leaf stage. Small enough to eat raw, big enough to hold up in a hot pan.

I grow this one for the people who remember what spinach used to taste like. The bagged stuff at the grocery store is bred to survive a truck. Mine is bred to taste like something. Eat it raw, wilt it into eggs, or stir it into the last minute of a pasta sauce.

A 1/3 lb bag is two big salads, or enough to wilt into a family dinner with leftovers.

I cut these on Friday. Keep the leaves dry, and the bag will stay crisp through most of the next week. Spinach is more delicate than the other greens; if you want it to last, store it with a paper towel in the bag.
