I grow this one because it has texture and color that the grocery store doesn't carry. Open-pollinated varieties I picked for flavor, not shelf life. The mustards bring a soft heat. The Asian greens carry the savory depth underneath.

A 1/3-lb bag is enough for two large dinner salads or a week of lunches for one person.

I cut these on Friday. If you keep the leaves dry in your fridge, this bag will stay crisp for two weeks. Most grocery store greens are already two weeks old when you buy them.
