Butter Lettuce (Green & Red, Fresh-Cut Heads)

Soft, tender butter lettuce in green and red. Green is classic and mildly sweet. Red adds a little earthiness and a lot of color. Both are cut fresh, not pulled from a clamshell.

The leaves are loose and delicate, the kind that make a salad feel like more than a side. Grocery store butter lettuce is usually bruised by the time you get it. Mine isn't.

Good for: a simple dressed salad, lettuce wraps, sandwiches and burgers, a base for grain bowls.

Keep the head whole and in the fridge until you're ready. Tear leaves as you need them and they'll last most of the week.
